Check out Twinkie Chan's food inspired crocheted scarves designed by Stephanie Chan. While holding a publishing job during the day, Stephanie can be found up late at night stretching her yarn, coming up with the newest one of a kind pieces for the collection. Some of the inspirations include Buttered Toast, Cupcakes and Garden Salads.
Check out what's in Twinkie's fridge here. Don't miss the Crochet-ter Tots (...find them in the freezer).
Another cupcake bakery to add to the list to visit! Sibby's Cupcakery is in the Bay Area. Founded by Sibby Thomsen with the mission of providing joy and happiness to her customers, she perfected her cupcake recipes on the side during a 10-year career in advertising (..does this mean there is hope for me to become a cupcake connoisseur while I'm in my current job?)
"Sibby's Cupcakery specializes in custom cupcakes made the old-fashioned way. No substitutes, no shortcuts. With extra smiles on top."
Flavors that sounds amazing:
Carrot Cinnamon
Snickerdoodle
Dulce de Leche

I just want to state again how I love these Johnny Cupcakes tees. This is my favorite design, you know...your basic plaid cupcake tee. Mochi has the cupcake grill shirt and I think he might have this one as well.
Speaking of cucakes, a vendor sent cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery in New York this week. My god, these were up there with Sprinkles! I am such a sucker for cucakes now. I am dying to try Sprinkles holiday flavors: peppermint, eggnog spice, and coconut of the day. I have never been to the store, I am lucky enough to have an office full of people that recieve Sprinkles from vendors. I think these flavors might deserve a visit, though!
So, I'm having a wedding shower for my bro and his fiancee on Sunday and I am debating getting a cake or swingingby Sprinkles for some cupcakes. Everyone can appreciate a Sprinkles cupcake, but they seem more like cake
people. Hmm...
Did you know that they have Sprinkles apparel, both for you and your pooch! Only in LA..
Brian and Jason came over for dinner the other night and brought cupcakes from Susie Cakes in Brentwood. They tasted and looked homemade, and they had a little icing hiding in the center. Never too much icing for me. We had the Fluffy Coconut and Chocolate cupcakes, the Coconut was my fav. I'd say its just about as good as Sprinkles. I want to try the Red Velvet cake next time.
I wonder if the cupcake frenzy will slow down with all the Pinkberry action going on in LA right now. Damn, LA is so trendy, even the food that we eat is trendy!
